Holiday Promenade in the East Village of Des Moines

The magic starts Friday nights! Holiday Promenade returns to the Historic East Village for five weeks of lights, music, carolers, photo ops and free trolley rides that make downtown Des Moines feel straight out of a Hallmark holiday movie.

Kick off opening night with the annual tree lighting ceremony, then wander through locally owned shops offering holiday deals. It’s the perfect way to start your weekend and support small businesses.

Remember - this free, family-friendly tradition is only back for five Fridays.
